Igor Szeligowski - Horn
He studied at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw and in Warsaw. He developed his skills under the direction of W. VerMeulen (Houston Symphony Orchestra), J. Decker (LA Music University), J. Thatcher (Hollywood Studio Players) and Ch. Kovalosky.
He is a laureate of the 1st prize in the Brass Instrument Competition (Zielona Gora, 1993) and the 3rd prize in the French Horn Competition In Łodź. In 1995-96 he was a horn player in the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. From 1996 to 2006 he was the first French horn player in the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw. Since 2004 he has been the first French horn player in the Orchestra of the Grand Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw.


In 1999 he became the first French horn player in the Polish Festival Orchestra, founded by Krystian Zimerman. In 2010-11 he was the first French horn player at the Teatro Municipal de Chile. He is a member of the classical brass quintet Varsovia Nova, and the Mazo Horn Quartet.

He has worked with the London Symphony Orchestra since 2013.

In 2014 he became a teacher of French horn at the Academy of Music in Poznan.

Since 2015 he has been working with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since 2018 he has been working with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.

For several years he has been a lecturer at the ‘Teremiski Horn Camp’ in the very heart of the Białowieża forest.
