Paweł Maślanka - violin I
He started learning to play the violin at the age of eight. In 2010 he graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of Professor Krzysztof Podejka.
He is a laureate of many national violin competitions, e.g. in Warsaw, Zielona Góra, Poznań, Katowice, Łódź and Gdańsk.
In 2008 he began working with the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra. He has made numerous recordings with this ensemble, covering repertoire from baroque to contemporary music, and has toured Poland, Europe (France, Sweden, Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Germany) and Japan (Tokyo, Kanazawa) with artists such as N. Kennedy, I. Pogorelić, M. Argerich, A.-S. Mutter, M. Vengerov.
Since 2010 he has been the 1st concertmaster of the M. Karłowicz Philharmonic Orchestra in Szczecin, with which he also performs as a soloist.
In 2016 he received the Ph.D. in Fine Arts title. He is also a teacher at the F. Nowowiejski State Music School Complex and an assistant professor at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.
Since 2017 he has been the founder and artistic director of the West Side Sinfonietta chamber orchestra.
